Vallentine's Day Cookies

Nana Karen and Antie Samantha sent Stevie and Lilly a wonderful Valentines box. It had awesome goodies in it. One of the treats were these cookies that were already baked and frosted. The kit contained fruit flavored markers. The kids decorated thier cookies and then we did a taste test to find out if the markers actually tasted like the color and fruit they were supposed too. They did. Red was strawberry and yellow was lemon ect. It was a great project!

Stevie's masterpieces were hearts and Octumus Prime!

Lilly had a ball tasting and coloring and tasting and coloring. She mostly did pink, purple and light blue. We had a great time!

Seattle part 3

I think one of my most favorite parts was seeing my old friends. Mettie and I had a wonderful visit!! I was not long enough by any means. This is a pic of Lilly and Mettie flexing their muscles! I can see a bulge can't you?

Here they are stacking and counting cheese packets. I know that Met is going to be an awesome mom and I think that Lilly could sense that too. She enjoyed her company as well!

Seattle trip...the details!

We drove from Idaho Falls to Seattle, leaving at O'dark thirty and arriving at about 8 or 9 that night. It wasn't too bad of a trip. We took my van and had all the hook ups for dvds, tons of toys, snacks...you know all the necessities. Ad and Lindsey greeted us with home made spaghetti and it was just good to see them both in person, in the same time zone, and with time to enjoy a good visit! This top picture is a wooden helicopter that Stevie and Ad worked on. First they glued it together and then Stevie painted it. I think they both enjoyed the project.

Stevie wanted to put the toy together in the car so bad. It took a lot of convincing to get him to wait and do it with Ad. In the end, it was worth the wait!!!

The most fun Stevie and Lilly had the whole weekend was just messing around with Ad and Lindsey and especially being pulled around in the sleeping bag! "one more time Adam...please!" was the catch phrase of the weekend!

You can tell that Lilly just hated this game.... :)

Princess Builder!

Lilly and Papa are building a planting box for Nana. This outfit is one of Lilly's daily choices and it didn't hinder her at all in using that drill! I was so proud of her because sometimes she is timid in getting dirty or being around loud noises. But I think this child is starting to come into her own. Unfortunatly it is coming with a lot of attitude! :)

She has always kind of done as Stevie asked, and has been more of "go with the flow" kind of kid. Now she is all about asserting herself and making sure she is heard loud and clear. Stevie is having a harder time dealing with this new found identity and they are fighting a lot more these days. It is hard to really get mad at her, becuase she just isn't going to take all of Stevie's demands. I'm sure they will work it out one way or the other!

Chocolate covered Strawberries

I brought an outstandingly good dark chocolate block home from Florence’s and we dipped strawberries. Let me say this, it doesn’t get any better than chocolate and ripe juicy strawberries and I think Lilly and Stevie would agree!

I think she is in Heaven!

No one said this was going to be a clean dessert! There is a little pink bug with jelly bean for a tummy on the table. Those are the love bugs Stevie took as valentine’s for his school! Too cute!
