So now here are some of the cutest pics of Stevie and his best friend in Idaho Falls...Gabe! The two of them are very cute together. Gabe invited us to go 4-wheelin' and the two boys had a blast together! Thanks to Jerry, Lilly got a turn too!
All dressed and ready to go. It was nice of Staci and Gabe to lend Stevie a pair of goggles or "go-gles" as Stevie calls them so he could be just like Gabe!
Stevie is on the right sitting on the battery powered 4-wheeler. This thing is amazing because it will actually go on snow. Stevie was in hog-heaven because this is the exact toy he has wanted for 2 years now but I'm too mean a mom to get it for him. Gabe is on the left and sitting on a gas-powered mini 4-wheeler. He is an incredible driver...and that machine goes pretty fast!
Jerry was kind enough to take Lilly and it was a good thing too, she didn't want to be left behind. She was and still is in the "me too" phase. I have a sinking feeling that phase lasts a long time!
Gabe pulled Stevie on the sled. The two of them had such a blast! They did switch and Stevie drove with Gabe on the sled. Gabe is one tough kid...Stevie didn't quite have the hang of going at a steady pace and Gabe about got jerked out several times...but he hung on and they had a great time!

That looks like a blast, you are lucky to have met suck nice freinds for Stevie and you!
Wow, just noticed the typos. Sorry to those who read these comments. Mandy's husband is not an idiot, just a lousy typer!
mandy - i love you love you and your so perfect family so i say this with all the love in the world.
ATV's are the most dangerous things for children because children are (1) unskilled in spacial relations (2) light in weight and (3) ATV's are designed poorly and subsequently require religious maintenance.
My firm defends several ATV manufacturers and the cases involving children either riding on with an adult or by themselves make me cry. ATV's aren't designed for children, even though they make small ATV's and there is no physicial way that two people can be safe on them based on their engineered design. These are the arguments we make when people assume the risks of using these seriously powered machines.
I know they are so much fun and they totally make sense in places like Idaho where it snows and then snows some more. BUT it makes me worry for your kiddo's riding on them especially when you have no idea about the maintenance and quality of those machines. I bet nothing ever happens to your kiddos and they're probably better drivers than most kids (well not lilly yet) but any chance of a helmet? or an all together Ban? Probably not and I'm sure you don't appreciate back seat parenting on my part - but they scare the heck out of my and I think of your family like my own. Much love.
Please, continue parenting your children. Don't let others parent them for you like Minerva10616. 4-wheelers are only as dangerous as the drivers of them. Not all people who buy them know how to operate them correctly. Anything is dangerous when owned by an idiot, which is probably the case with the cases Minerva has seen. Would love to know where you found the battery powered one that will go on the snow, my son has outgrown the Polaris 12 volt (Power Wheels type)and he needs bigger and better. Manufacturer? Purchase place?
