Little Brother Adam!!!
My Brother is in town for 2 weeks and it is awesome!!!!! I haven't seen him in almost 18 months and it is so good to see him! He has been in town one day and we have already had a ton of fun. Today we floated the canal. For all you city folk...that is a small man made river that is used to water the farmer's fields and there is one right behind our house. Ad and I used to do this in the summer when we were kids and had a pretty good time. It was a lot colder than I ever remember!!! I think it is a sign I'm getting older....
We tried to find a iner-tube that had a built in center so Stevie could sit on top but could only find the typical ones with an empty hole in the middle. So, we took that, an old yellow pool float...that would only stay inflated for about 10 minutes, some life jackets, asked Nana to shuttle us and away we went. I don't have any still pictures of this event because the battery on my camera was dead but we took some video of it. Anyway, we loaded up and away we went. We decided to start our adventure at a small water fall and to make sure it was safe we sent my brother in first and alone as the gini pig... He jumped on the tube, floated over the falls, and flipped feet over head backwards. I have to admit that once I saw he was safe, I enjoyed a good laugh!!!
We figured that he was safe enough and Stevie really wanted to go too so... we put the yellow float on top of the tube and sat Stevie on top of it all. Ad hung onto the side of the tube and they took off. They started out side by side but, because Ad wasn't wearing a life vest, he traveled a lot faster than Stevie. So, Ad floated over the falls, got dunked and then came Stevie (in a life vest...of course.) The tube caught in the falls and flipped but some how, miraculously, Stevie stayed in the center of the yellow float ... it still had some air left in it...and some how it sailed over the tube, stayed upright and floated down to Ad. I have to tell you, it made my heart jump but it was pretty cool how the yellow one kept Stevie out of the water. Stevie loved it.
The rest of the trip was uneventful, but fun. We got a little cold but floated the trip twice. After the first time, we went home and picked up my Dad so he could join in the fun. The second time, Dad jimmy-rigged a life vest in the center of the tube and secured it with rope. Stevie went over the falls without a hitch and I think even stayed dry. Ad, of course, got dunked again!!!
We plan on doing this little adventure a couple more times and I promise to provide pictures of our adventures.
Oh, and as a side note, the video we got of this trip is too funny. Mom and Dad both thought the camera was off when it was on and on when it was off. We have some of the most hilarious commentary of our float.

My Poor Mom
What a day. I had an amazing time at a coaching clinic I attended. I know to most it would be a very boring day but I got a kick out of it. The host was absolutely hilarious. I laughed all day and learned a ton.
But....my poor mother was at home with the kids all day long. Now she probably has a really good idea why I didn't want to stay in GA and be a single mom while Steve is deployed. On a side note...Stevie is really going through a rough time and its hard because on one hand I need to discipline him for being a monster...or otherwise known as a typical 3 year old...but on the other hand I know he is really hurting because his dad has left him. Ok, back to the story... The 3 of them...Lilly, Stevie, and Nana, plus the dog....went to the river and fed the geese. Stevie apparently, charmed every group of people he met into giving him bread to feed the birds. I can just see him chatting up every person that walked by. Mom said Stevie ran for 2 solid hours and between chasing the dog and making sure Stevie didn't fall in the river, Mom got a workout!!!
I guess he did pretty good for Nana until nap time. He refused to take a nap and when Nana tried to insist, the little bugger nose peed on the floor. Can we say stubborn? I wonder where he gets it. Then she asked him to put on a pull-up since he peed in his underwear and he put on three. He is a stinker through and through. When I got home he informed me that he didn't take a nap but rested for a little while. I swear he talks like a 10 yr old.
But the day is over and we survived. Nana went to bed at 9pm, a little bit before Stevie...and I had to laugh just a little bit. Thank God I'm here. I don't think I would have survived this without Nana and Papa's help!!

So frustrated!!!
I'm so frustrated that I don't have my Stampin Up Catalog yet and all my friends do. They are talking about how great it is and how everything is too cute....and yet all I found in the mail box was junk!!! Maybe tomorrow!

Halloween ScrapCrap
I'm so happy with these 2 pages. I did the spider webs with glue and silver cord...it took forever but I love the effect. This was such a great day for us. I was 5 months prego and it was Stevie's first pumpkin carving. He had a ball drawing all over his. After he finished drawing his face, his dad helped him (did all the carving) with the knife!
The interesting part was what happened when Steve and I were finishing our pumpkins, but Stevie was done with his. We should have known from the silence in the house that something was wrong...We turned around to find Stevie coloring with a black marker all over the back of our couch. In his hands were a permanent marker and a washable crayola maker. Both markers had the lids off. We had a 50/50 shot at having a ruined couch. Luck must have been on our side because he had used the washable one and we were able to dry clean it all better.
We went to a cool Halloween party all dressed up. My only option was the M&M costume because that was the only thing that fit over my prego form. The only crappy part was we didn't get a picture of Steve in his costume. Bummer!
Strike Two
Ok this is my second attempt at getting a post on my site. We will see what happens....
As I have already written once...I'm trying to move into the 21st century and see if I can get into the whole blogg thing. Plus my good friend Roxann has inspired me to try this thing out. I love how she can really open up and write about things going on in her life. Plus if you knew Roxann, she is an inspiring person all on her own.
